My Ultimate top goals for 2025 and Vision Board Planning

Spread the love

Hi! Welcome to the page.  I rarely do this, but something about this year has me motivated to see my goals become my reality.

The motivation for setting my goals was Lavendaire’s Artist of Life workbook. Inside the workbook, I highlighted key details of how I saw my life, and it suggested that I visualize my goals.

Well, I certainly did that.

I created a vision board.

So, what exactly are my goals for this year?

First things first I want to finish editing my novel.

I’ve worked hard to finish my novel. However, I only had a few moments here and there to do edits because last year I ended up getting a full-time job.

Although I did get a full-time job, it wasn’t guaranteed because I had to earn my insurance license.

Luckily, I passed my personal lines and life exam on the first try.

So that’s how the last couple of months have been. On top of that, I did training on how to work the systems.

In total, my training took about three and a half months.

By the time I finished, it was the holiday season.

I already booked my PTO in advance. My parents, relatives, and I went to Hilton Head.

It was a much-needed vacation.

So, it’s a few weeks into the New Year, and I plan on fulfilling my goal of edits this year.

But what’s next when I actually finish edits?

Find a literary agent or self-publish

This is a toss-up. I would love to find a literary agent long-term for the various types of novels I would like to create.

I would like to find a literary agent that sees the vision I see for my books, is supportive, and wants me to succeed.

On the other hand, I would love to build an audience and see what happens from there.

Self-publishing takes work, but as an author, I’ll have complete control.

There are benefits to both, so when it comes time to choose, I’ll see what happens.

Either way I look forward to seeing all my hard work pay off.

Pay off student loan debt

I’ve been paying off as much as I can since I got a full-time job.

In addition, I want to earn passive income.

Even though I have a full-time job, I don’t want to feel as though I am only using the money I earned to pay it off.

However, it would be nice to pay it off.

I look forward to seeing how much I pay off for this year.

I am taking things day by day.

Bucket List

In 2024 I created a bucket list of things I want to do. But I never had the chance to do them. So, the goal is to complete a few of them this year.

I already am setting myself up for success by taking action. One of the actions I have done is purchase a course on how to do a handstand.

Another goal of mine is to learn how to crochet. So, I purchased a beginner crochet kit from Amazon.

But I am realizing that some of the things I had on my bucket list might change.

Action and consistency are key.

Nourish My body

For me, I want to get into the habit of moving my body more.  I remember when I was in high school, I did a lot of movement because I was in the marching band and played tennis.

The only way I am able to do that is to set aside time in my free time to work out.  Instead, I am just doing a video workout. I plan on taking on a workout activity that I need to attend in person.

It will give me the opportunity to move the body and socialize.

I would love to find a boxing class or a Pilates class.

Besides moving my body more.   I would love to have the time to cook food that nourishes my body.

Finding recipes that fuel the body in the best possible way to get stronger and get in shape.

Slow Down

I think one of the hardest things for me to do is to slow down.  Sometimes, I’ll keep going without taking time out for myself.

Since 2025 started, I’ve been getting signs that I should slow down.

Furthermore, to truly live and appreciate each moment.

I have to remind myself that I have time to do things I want to and not feel overwhelmed doing them.

I shouldn’t feel like it’s another thing I should check off.  I want to fully take in the moments that allow me to take my breath away.

Thus, it is imperative that I rest my body.  It is essential that I unwind for the night.  Some of the ways I plan to do that are to do bed stretches, meditate, limit the number of fluids I drink before bed, because it takes me 20 to 30 minutes after I get up and use the restroom in the middle of the night or morning.

The Process

I started to create my vision board because I purchased Artist of Life by Lavendaire shop.  Before the New Year, I knew I wanted a change in my life with regard to setting aside time to accomplish my goals.

I received my workbooks because I figured this would be the perfect way to start planning what I want to do.

The workbook breaks down the different areas of your life you envision yourself.

Clarity is essential.

Overview of Vision Boards

Vision boards have a way of allowing you to express yourself.  It’s sort of like a reflection of where you are at in life and where you want to go.  Instead of writing down my goals, I want to envision them.  Sometimes, seeing the bigger picture is better than written or said, especially when you aren’t willing to do the work to take action.

Should you do a vision board?

Absolutely, it allows you to discover what’s most important to you.

Let your vision board be the step that allows you to take action.

When you take action, you see results.

Find out what works best for you and go for it.
