Calm Your Mind after a writing session with ease

Don’t do it! Don’t wear yourself out as a writer.

If you are constantly in the mindset of getting things done and never taking time for yourself, eventually you’ll become burned out.

You don’t want to go to that point.

The secret to finding time to relax is realizing that you are a priority. You can’t put your all into something when you are drained, overwhelmed, and empty.

Give yourself the chance to regain your strength, clear your mind, and restore your energy. Below are some ways you can unwind and calm your mind after writing.

1. Stretch the body

Loosen up your body and get your blood circulating again, especially if you are sitting for most of the time.

Stretching gives you the chance to connect with your body. Furthermore, you’ll gain an understanding and clarity of what it truly means and how tranquil it is to focus on the present moment.

There are plenty of free YouTube stretch videos you can watch in the morning, midday, evening, or at night.

2. Light a candle

Do you want to feel like you are at the spa?

Incorporate lighting a candle into your routine. Candles can help relieve stress, improve mood, create an ambiance that soothes your mind, and more.

Watch how easily your body adapts to the scent of a candle.

A place you can set a candle is your nightstand. Make sure there aren’t any flammable objects. Place the candle on a nightstand and rest your mind as you doze off into a deep sleep.

Another alternative is to set a candle in your bathroom. Right before you shower, light a candle. Give yourself a luxury spa-like environment.
