A Simple Tasty Steak Sandwich and French Fries Recipe

The perfect thing you can make yourself during the summer time or any time of the year is a steak sandwich.

It is the perfect recipe to make for lunch or for dinner. 

After a long day at the pool or a long day a work you may be craving something fulfilling especially if it’s summer.

Ingredients for Steak Sandwich

Green bell peppers

Red bell peppers

Yellow Bell Peppers

Onions

Mushrooms (optional)

Ribeye steak finely sliced

Cheese (Any cheese like)

Hoagie rolls

Butter

Seasoning

Black Pepper

Mrs. Dash

Oregano

Basil

Italian Seasoning

Cayenne Pepper

Steak Seasoning

French Fries

Potatoes

Steak sandwich step by step breakdown

  1. Preparation is essential.  Make sure you allow your ribeye to thaw out if it is in the freezer.
  2. In the meantime, while your meat thaws out, prep your ingredients.  Get out your cutting board.  Rinse and cut your green, yellow, red, and orange bell peppers.
  3. Next, chop up your onions.  You can use a zip loc bag and throw in your colored bell peppers and onions together and seal it.  (You can even throw in your favorite seasonings and let it marinate.)
  4. Place the zip loc bag into the refrigerator and wash your cutting board and utensil.
  5. Wait 1 to 2 hours or until your meat thaws.
  6. Once the meat thaws out, clean it, and add your seasoning. Place in a Ziploc bag or container to let the meat marinate for 2 or more hours.
  7. Grab a pan, add a little bit of oil, and cook your marinated meat at a medium temperature. Once you see most of your meat cooked, grab your pre-cut bell peppers and onions and toss it into the pan along with the meat.
  8. Switch the temperature to a medium to low stove.  You’ll want to grab your hoagie bread next.
  9. Get a small pan sheet.  Add aluminum foil on top.  Cut your hoagie bread open and brush some butter on top.
  10. Place your hoagie bread in the oven to 350.   Allow the bread to crisp to your liking and take it out when ready.
  11. Add your favorite cheese on top and let it melt.   This should take about 1 to 2 minutes.   
  12. While you wait for it to melt, add your favorite condiments (mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup.)
  13. Scoop up your meat, bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms if you decide to add the melted cheese and place it on to your hoagie bread.
  14. Add as much as you want and enjoy!

French Fries Step by step process

  1. Grab your potato or potatoes, depending on how many you are cooking for, and begin to peel your potatoes.
  2. After you peel the potatoes, slice your potatoes, clean the potatoes, and place it in a bowl.
  3. Add water and ice into the bowl with the French Fries.  It will remove the excess starch. Place the iced water and French fries in the refrigerator and leave it there for 1 to 2 hours.
  4. Before you take your French fries out of the refrigerator.  Take a pan, add some oil inside the pan, and let it heat up at a medium-to-medium-low temperature.
  5. Pull out your iced water, cut French fries from the refrigerator and pour out the ice and water.
  6. Test out how hot the oil is with a French fry.  Remember, when you add the French fry in it can drop the temperature.
  7. Cook until golden.  Eat the French fry to make sure it doesn’t overcook or undercook.  Adjust the temperature if necessary.
  8. Once you’ve found that sweet spot, add more fries.  Use a spoon with whole to drain out the oil as you pull out the French fries.
  9. Add seasoning if you want and enjoy it with your steak sandwich.

There’s no better feeling than to make yourself a tasty sandwich after a long day at the pool or relaxing in the sun.  Gather your favorite ingredients and allow your taste buds to devour every bite.
